Please make sure to read all rules before submitting your entry.
-
Entry forms will be accepted from January 1 - March 30. We will not accept entry forms before or after these dates.
-
As long as you have already filled out an entry form, entries can be posted from June 2 (previous year) - April 1 (current year). Entries posted before or after these dates will not be considered for awards. See rule #10 for more information.
-
Entries must be at least 1 minute in length.
-
You are allowed to enter 1 entry*, and we have a maximum limit of 30 entries total for each season, first come, first serve. See rule 12 for exceptions.
-
We do not consider trailers for the "film" category.
-
You must upload your entry to YouTube to be considered for awards. Please fill out a submission form linking us to your completed entry so we can add it to the playlist.
-
You must use one of the Sims platforms for your entry. (If you want to get creative, we will also allow other titles such as Sims City to participate.)
-
Most sensitive topics are allowed as long as a disclaimer is included before the entry video. We believe in expressing creativity and do not want to restrict subjects to deter directors. If you are concerned about a subject in your entry, feel free to contact us!
-
If your entry is purposely hateful, it will be disqualified for awards and promptly reported.
-
You may submit pre-existing machinima as entries, as long as they were created after our last season's submission deadline (June 1). We do not want people to feel obligated to rush and create something new for the ceremony, so we allow our contestants to submit pre-existing machinima.
-
If your entry is in a different language than English, we require English subtitles/closed captions for our moderators to properly view it.
-
If we have not reached the 30-entry limit by March 25, we will allow contestants to submit another entry in addition to their first, while the entry form is open for the last five days.
